Posted: 12 December 2007
Invensys Process Systems reported that its Performance Services group has won a contract to deliver cyber security protection services to Husky Energy's Upgrader Plant in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Invensys will provide services based on its lifecycle cyber security approach, which consists of assessment, design, implementation and real-time management of Husky's plant and production networks.
Among the services that Invensys will provide are site and vulnerability assessment, policy requirement drafting, security architecture and policy development, modernization of existing technology and continuous management, review, testing and optimization.
Invensys will also provide 24/7 network monitoring and management in collaboration with managed security leader Integralis, with whom Invensys has recently formed a global support partnership.
"Information and operational security is increasingly becoming a top priority for our clients, and we deliver a solution that goes significantly beyond just configuring a firewall," said Doug Clifton, Global Cyber Security Program Leader, Invensys Process Systems.
"We offer a complete, managed solution, focusing on threat prevention and continuing through real-time monitoring and mitigation."
This cyber security contract follows on an earlier contract under which Invensys has implemented mesh control network-based I/A Series system technology and intelligent measurement and instrumentation equipment at Husky's Saskatchewan and Manitoba ethanol plants.
