Posted: 16 June 2006
Yokogawa Electric Corporation's VigilantPlant suite of products and services has received the 2005 Editor’s Choice Award from Control Engineering magazine.
Since March 2003, Yokogawa has been carrying out the Vigilance marketing campaign to showcase its business approach.
In February 2005, Yokogawa launched the VigilantPlant campaign to help customers achieve excellence in their plant operations.
In order to realize the VigilantPlant concept, Yokogawa offers products and solutions in line with three key slogans:
- See Clearly – achieve stable and accurate real-time information exchange,
- Know in Advance – anticipate changes and plan actions in advance,
- Act with Agility – make fast and intelligent decisions.
Thousands of products and services were featured in Control Engineering magazine during 2005.
These were classified into eight award categories that included Instrumentation and Process Sensors, Embedded Control, and Process and Advanced Control.
Winners for the Editor’s Choice Award were selected based on criteria such as technological advancement and market impact, and Yokogawa’s VigilantPlant won this award in the Process and Advanced Control category.
"Yokogawa is aggressively developing its operations with the objective of becoming the number one global industrial automation player by 2010," said Satoru Kurosu, Vice President of Marketing, Industrial Automation Business Headquarters.
"Encouraged by this award, we will step up our efforts to promote the VigilantPlant concept."
