Posted: 03 April 2006

Veripos has expanded its widely-used European GNSS-based precise positioning service operations for offshore oil and gas applications with the appointment of iSURVEY AS of Norway as exclusive agent for sale and support of its products and services throughout Scandinavia.

The services include Veripos’ complete range of high-precision global satellite positioning capabilities inclusive of its latest Ultra service, a Precise Point Positioning (PPP) solution which, together with proprietary quality control software and a series of advanced integrated user mobile hardware, provides centimetric accuracies.

Tony Leary, Veripos’ Managing Director; said: “We are absolutely delighted with this cooperation, which will significantly strengthen our activities in this important region. We firmly believe that both organisations share a philosophy of delivering the best products and services with particular focus on the customer and operational excellence”.

Øivind Røegh, Managing Director of iSURVEY AS, said: “With this appointment, Veripos has established a full-time service centre for Scandinavia in support of its complete range of services for professional offshore applications.

“The products and services complement and extend iSURVEY’s own advanced offshore system capabilities”.

Based in Oslo, iSURVEY is one of Norway’s leading independent suppliers of navigation, positioning and survey services for offshore operations.

It specialises in multi-vessel management operations and subsea positioning supported by own facilities for data acquisition and processing.
