US oil, gas and LNG technologies at OSEA2008

Posted: 18 March 2008

Singapore Exhibition Services (SES), organisers of OSEA2008, Asia’s premier oil and gas trade event, reported that the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has granted OSEA2008 Trade Fair Certification status, establishing the US Pavilion at the exhibition that will feature American firms of various sizes.

"We are pleased that the U.S Department of Commerce has granted OSEA2008 the Trade Fair Certification status. This certification further establishes OSEA as Asia’s leading oil and gas event for industry professionals," said Mr Tee Boon Teong, Project Director for OSEA at SES.

"With over 14,000 trade visitors expected to attend the show, OSEA2008 will provide US exhibitors with an excellent platform to explore oil and gas business avenues, expand market share and penetrate emerging markets."

Trade Fair Certification assures that American exhibitors at OSEA2008 will have USDOC support in both the US and in Singapore.

According to the statement released by the USDOC, companies exhibiting in the US Pavilion will have an excellent venue to establish or expand overseas distribution, generate sales leads, evaluate competitors, and work with Commerce trade experts to find the right buyers and partners.

In its 17th edition, OSEA2008 will be held on December 2 - 5, 2008 at Suntec Singapore. The biennial event is the most established event for the offshore/onshore petroleum industry in Asia Pacific.

For more than two decades, the international oil and gas community has looked to Singapore and OSEA2008 as the showcase for the latest technology in offshore exploration, recovery, transport, and processing.

The Asia-Pacific market is expected to lead the world in total offshore oil and gas spending by 2008.

OSEA2008 provides an unparalleled platform for US oil and gas, and LNG suppliers and service firms to expand their reach in Southeast Asia.

By certifying OSEA2008, the USDOC recognises the potential of the market for US trade as well as the capability and experience of IMEX Management, Inc. — the North American representative of selected overseas trade shows, exhibitions and conferences — to organise a top-notch US Pavilion.

The Department’s Trade Fair Certification Program is a cooperative arrangement between private sector trade show organisers and the US Government.

The program seeks to broaden the base of US exporters, particularly new-to-export and new-to-market companies, by introducing them to key trade fairs where they can meet their export objectives.
