The 4th Annual Global Education and Training Event from Getenergy Ltd for the Oil and Gas Industry takes place 26-28 March 2008 at the Business Design Centre in London.
Over 700 delegates from 35+ countries are expected to attend the event which will include a Ministerial Summit chaired by the Rt. Hon. Malcolm Wicks, Minister of State for Energy, UK and attended by Energy Ministers from around the world, including H.E. Dr Chakib Khelil, the current President of OPEC, (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries).
"Getenergy is designed to be a global forum for the development of education and training services within the oil and gas sector," said Phil Andrews, Getenergy’s co-founder and Chief Executive Officer.
"We have sought to produce events at which providers of education and training can discuss requirements and good practice with both national and international oil companies, leading to more sustainable workforce development programmes throughout the industry."
The 2008 event will include the first Getenergy Awards, taking place at the Landmark London Hotel on 26 March, in recognition of excellence in global education and training.
The day will open with the strategic meeting of worldwide Energy Ministers and national oil company chief executives, allowing an opportunity for industry and government to discuss relevant themes and report back a statement of intent on how they will work together in the future on human capability issues.
