China International Petroleum Equipment & Technology Exhibition

Poised to become one of the world's most important platforms for marketing petroleum equipment and services
The first ever China International Petroleum Equipment & Technology Exhibition (CIPEE) 2008 has been launched during a press conference held today (December 05, 2007) in Dubai; with more than 500 global petroleum equipment manufacturing companies confirming their participation in the event that is poised to become one of the most important exhibitions in the international petroleum industry.
Organised with the support of leading international petroleum groups including the Gulf-Arabic International Commerce and Economic Investment Bureau, CIPEE will be held at the Dongying International Trade Centre in Dongying, Shandong Province, China, from September 12-14, 2008.
"We have organised the China International Petroleum Equipment & Technology Exhibition 2008 after conducting a thorough investigation and evaluation on the practicability of holding such a huge event in Dongying. We offer incomparable advantages, particularly in terms of infrastructure, convenient support facilities, strong industrial presence and all-out government backing," said Mr. Xie Ai Guo, Vice Director of People's Government of Dongying District.
More than 3,000 prospective international buyers are expected to attend the event, which will incorporate indoor and outdoor exhibition space exceeding 29,000 square metres.
The full range of petroleum equipment will be featured including:
- drilling equipment
- production equipment
- gas-oil gathering and transferring equipment
- oilfield special vehicles, oilfield generating equipment
- oilfield special chemicals
- petroleum equipment components and special tools
- oilfield instruments and meters
- oilfield electric apparatus and cables
- oilfield labour security products
- petroleum development and research products
- oilfield petroleum engineering
"We have prepared extensively for this exhibition, making sure that there will be room for any product on display regardless of size, so clients will be able to see the actual products and not just scale models. Most of the participating China-based manufacturing companies are also based nearby, so a quick on-the-spot inspection can easily be arranged," said Mr. Wang Jun Yi, Standing Vice President, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Dongying Office.
"Another key feature of the CIPEE is that it is close to the Shengli Oilfield, the second largest oilfield in China and an important petroleum industry base of the country's eastern region," said Mr. Xie Chuan Li, Director of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau of Dongying District.
"This will allow prospective buyers to check their desired petroleum equipments’ working capacity directly on the oilfield, which gives them significant savings on cost and time."
CIPEE 2008, which is predicted to gather over 10,000 exhibitors, visitors and dignitaries worldwide, is sponsored by the China Committee for the Promotion of International Trade and Shangdong Municipal People’s Government.
It is also co-organised by China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, Petrochina Company Limited, China National Offshore Co. LTD, American Petroleum Institute, Institute of Petroleum (UK), African Petroleum Producers’ Association and Russian Lykoil Company.
"The ultimate aim of CIPEE is to establish a reliable and secure marketing platform for international purchase of petroleum equipment and its components. We also seek to provide a suitable venue for networking among petroleum equipment manufacturers and service providers, which we predict will help promote the growth of the entire industry," said Mr. Bruce Cui, General Manager, CEW (Asia) Co., Ltd.
