IMCA 2006: Call for papers launched for annual seminar

Autumn 2006 sees the return of the International Marine Contractors Association Annual Seminar to Europe . The call for papers for the 14th IMCA Annual Seminar has been issued and plans are underway for the 2006 event to be held in Copenhagen , Denmark on 19-20 September.

”We gained valuable experience from new delegates in the Middle East & India region in 2005 when the Annual Seminar was held in Abu Dhabi and in 2004 from Asia-Pacific Section members at the Singapore event and will be bringing this experience to our 2006 seminar in Copenhagen,” says Jane Bugler, Technical Director of IMCA.

“Our steering committee set up to organise the event has agreed that the format should be similar to that of the 2004/5 events - an IMCA division-wide seminar with both plenary sessions and separate marine and diving sessions.

"There will be an additional focus on senior industry speakers on more commercial topics to start day one. We are eager to receive suggestions of papers, presentations and topics for inclusion in the programme, including the range reflected previously of operational experience, technological developments and current issues.

"The particular theme for this year is diversity in marine contracting operations.”
