Posted: 20 April 2011
Origin Energy Geothermal, on behalf of the Innamincka Shallows Joint Venture, reported that Rig 100 has completed drilling the Celsius 1 geothermal exploration well, reaching its target depth of 2,360 metres sub-sea (2,416 m MDRT).
Logging and testing of the well has now commenced in order to evaluate the reservoir properties, including temperature, porosity and permeability at various depths.

Origin intends to issue a release to the ASX when preliminary test results from Celsius 1 have been assessed.
Following the two-well program in GRL8 (Geothermal Retention Licence) Origin will use Rig 100 to drill a further well within its 100% owned permit, GEL 185, with the same objectives.
