Scorpion receives LOI for Offshore Mischief

Scorpion International Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scorpion Offshore Ltd, received a letter of intent from an affiliate of an American independent oil and gas company for a drilling program offshore Brazil utilizing the Offshore Mischief.
The program has an estimated duration between 165 and 240 days.
Additionally, the operator shall have the right to an Optional Period to include up to an additional 240 days.
The contract is expected to begin on or before 1 July 2010 and has an estimated value of between US$ 24 and US$ 33 million.
The Offshore Mischief is Scorpion's seventh ultra-premium jackup and is scheduled for delivery from the Lamprell shipyard in Sharjah in April 2010.
Scorpion Offshore Ltd is a Bermuda based corporation founded in 2005 to own and operate state-of-the-art offshore drilling rigs.
