Iran to drill 160 oil wells

The National Iranian Drilling Company is planning to drill 160 wells by the end of March 2009.
Naser Gholipour, NIDC corporate planning, assessing and controlling manager, said 81 delineation and development wells will be drilled to a depth of 288,544 meters, six exploration wells will be drilled to a depth 23,206 meters and 67 work-over wells will be drilled to a depth of 34,461 meters
NIDC's drilling rate rose to a record high of 110,698 meters within the first quarter of the current Iranian year. The Iranian year will end on 20 March 20.
