Arpaci-2A tests excellent gas flow rates
Posted: 7 July 2008
Incremental Petroleum and Otto Energy are pleased to announce excellent gas flow rates from the recently drilled appraisal well Arpaci-2A at the Edirne licence in West Turkey.
The first zone tested flowed dry gas at a rate of 2.4 MMscf / day from the interval 340-348 metres through a 36/64” choke.
Two additional pay zones with multiple potential gas intervals exist at shallower levels in the well, which will be added at a later stage.
Arpaci-2A is the last well to be drilled as part of the 2008 campaign which has successfully proven up significant volumes of gas in the Erdine licence.
The construction of surface facilities is anticipated to be completed in mid 2009.
Following the end of the production tests, Incremental’s drilling rig will undergo regular maintenance and then be relocated to the Selmo Field for scheduled workover operations.
The partners in the Edirne Gas project are Incremental Petroleum 55 per cent, Otto Energy 35 per cent and Petraco Energy 10 per cent who are also the joint operator with Incremental.
