Nexen restarts North Sea production
Posted: 29 April 2008
Nexen Inc. reported that following the restart of the Forties pipeline system, it has recommenced production from its North Sea fields, which include Buzzard and Scott/Telford.
Production is ramping up in accordance with directions provided by the pipeline operator and we are awaiting clearance to increase production rates. The company expects to be back to full rates within the next two days.
The Forties pipeline was shutdown following a two-day strike by workers at the Grangemouth refinery in Scotland, which provides essential utility services to the operation of the Forties pipeline at BP's Kinneil plant.
