Energy Institute announces energy award-winners
Posted: 25 November 2006
The Energy Institute (EI), in association with Deloitte, announced the recipients of this year’s prestigious EI Awards, which were presented at a gala ceremony held at The Savoy, London.
The EI awards celebrate excellence and innovation within the international energy industry and before the formal presentation the EI were delighted to welcome former Olympic athlete, Lord Sebastian Coe KBE, who provided the keynote address.
“Held for its seventh year, the EI Awards acknowledge the contribution that people working in the energy industry demonstrate on a daily basis,” said Lawrence Slade MEI, EI Deputy Chief Executive.
“The EI is responsible for promotion of best practice and continual professional development and it seems only natural to host a competition that recognises organisations and individuals whose achievements stretch the boundaries of excellence and commitment to their work.”
“I would like to congratulate the winners and thank them for their commitment to the energy industry. A vibrant and innovative energy industry is essential, and I would urge everyone working in energy to continue their excellent work for the benefit of industry and society as a whole and remember to enter their worthwhile projects into next year’s Awards.”
