C-SAM Ltd appoints non-executive director

Software solutions experts C-SAM Ltd have appointed former Stewart Milne group executive, Gordon Cochrane, as non-executive director.

Mr Cochrane has extensive boardroom experience in property development, project management and the housing sector spread over a 25 year career in senior management roles.

Aberdeen-based C-SAM (Corporate Software Asset Management) provides a range of operational software solutions to the international oil, gas and construction industries and specialise in asset management and tracking.

During an 11 year period Mr Cochrane was managing director of Stewart Milne’s housing division and also managing director in charge of the firm’s commercial property development business.

He now runs his own property investment company, Ashling Investments, and works as a voluntary business mentor for Scottish Enterprise.

Mr Cochrane will work with C-SAM managing director, Theresa Wheeler, to strengthen the company’s strategic development, expand the core client base and guide the business through an ambitious expansion programme.

He said: “C-SAM is a young company with a tremendous future and because of their unique and innovative products already have an international client list of which any firm would be proud.

“I am looking forward to helping C-SAM reach it’s full potential and working with Theresa will develop a robust business plan which will see the company through what promises to be a very exciting growth period.”

Ms Wheeler said: “Gordon Cochrane has worked at the highest level in a number of business sectors and his appointment will introduce a wealth of experience which we can harness to assist our expansion plans.
