Company selected as secure application and data hosting provider

Landmark Graphics Corporation, a wholly owned business unit of Halliburton, has been awarded a fifteen-month application and data hosting contract from Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. (NSAI).

Landmark implemented the services during the first quarter of 2004 and is providing IT, application, data services and on-site application support.

"Landmark is pleased to be working with Netherland, Sewell to expand the value of their global service offering," said Peter Bernard, president, Landmark. “By providing safe and reliable access to data and applications over the Internet, Landmark is establishing a hosting environment that will allow Netherland, Sewell the flexibility to explore new business models. This implementation is designed to increase productivity by improving access to information and applications within their company and with their global customers.”

The secure service provided by Landmark will present NSAI with a competitive advantage through web-based access to critical data, applications and interpretations over the Internet. With this service, NSAI will be able to collaborate closely with their clients, who will simply log on to a designated project, from any location, by accessing the secure, centralized data and applications environment.

“Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. is a long time customer of Landmark Graphics Corporation, and we have benefited from its leading software developments over the years,” said Frederic D. Sewell, Chairman and CEO, NSAI. “Landmark's state-of-the-art application, Asset Hosting, provides an advanced level of service which NSAI now offers to its clients worldwide.”

“NSAI selected Landmark’s Asset Hosting Service to manage the data loading, archiving, hardware upgrades, software upgrades and version control in a secure hosted environment,” said Murray Roth executive vice president, Systems and Marketing, Landmark. “Landmark will also be responsible for the hosting facility, which will extend NSAI’s reach into new geographic markets. The installation and ongoing benefits of outsourced asset hosting will provide a competitive advantage for NSAI and will allow them to better focus on their core business.”
