Origin Energy provides the following update on conventional exploration, appraisal and development wells operated by the company and its subsidiaries.

Progress and Status
As at 9.00am on 2 December 2004, the operation on the Trefoil 1 exploration well was rigging down wireline logging tools which completes the wireline logging operations.
Since the ASX release of 29 November 2004, further reservoir sampling has confirmed the presence of gas at the additional depths of 3157.2m, 3100.5m, 3046m, 3028m, 2999.2m and 2959m, and water at the in additional depths of 3085m, 2991.5m and 2926.5m
The Joint Venture has agreed to case the well and to conduct a production test programme over two intervals from 3040 – 3047mRT and 3141 – 3150mRT.
