ASCO reported the award of a contract worth over £1.1m (NOK 10m) by Statoil ASA.
The contract covers transport and handling of all pipelines from Leith in the UK to Haugaland Næringspark (Gismervik, Tysvær) in Norway for Statoil’s Gudrun development in the Norwegian North Sea.
Work is expected to commence in February 2012.
The project will be managed by an ASCO team at a site just north of Stavanger.
"ASCO has a wealth of experience in delivering a safe, collaborative and on-time specialist oil and gas logistics service in some of the most challenging environments across Norway and around the world," said Runar Hatletvedt, ASCO Managing Director, Northern Europe.
"We look forward to using this experience to support Statoil in the efficient delivery of its Gudrun project in 2012."
ASCO first established operations in Norway around 20 years ago and has a network of bases along the Norwegian coastline, managing a wide range of oil and gas logistics services for its clients.
Over the last two years ASCO has extended its international reach, opening an additional base in Norway to support Arctic operations as well as in the Middle East, Asia and Australasia territories with the opening of businesses in Singapore, Oman, India and Australia.
