Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids signs deal with Axiom Process
Posted: 15 January 2009
Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids has entered into a worldwide marketing agreement with Axiom Process Ltd.
Under the agreement, both Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids (BHDF) and Axiom will jointly develop marketing and sales for the Axiom’s shale shaker and screen products globally while Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids will exclusively rent the AX-1 shaker and stock screens and spares on a worldwide basis.
Axiom will provide all technical information and training to assist in the sale and support of the products while engineering and applications support will be provided by both companies as deemed appropriate to maximize client support.
Use of the AX-1 shaker and associated products will differentiate BHDF’s Fluids Environmental Services by providing shaker technology that offers significant increases in flow processing capacity, improved separation through “sequential screening” and selective solids removal to meet specialized client applications.
This agreement will allow BHDF to present integrated Fluids & FES proposals to customers in key markets.
Axiom, a UK-owned company, was established in 2001 with the strategic objective of developing a shale shaker which would offer the industry a step change in fluid handling and solids separation performance.
